Problem: These Professional Athletes are making the name “Professional Athlete” look bad.
The term “Professional Athlete” means you are given a great ability to do things that other people cannot. These abilities are what every kid dreams of having. Also these professional athletes are supposed to be role models. Role models for young kids and give them someone to look up to. This is what has been lacking in my opinion. These athletes need to realize what comes with making all this money and having fancy cars and houses. It’s much more than that; you need to be a great role model for young kids. Young athletes usually will try to be like their favorite player, which goes for any sport. With these athletes cheating there are sending a message to these athletes that the only way to make it is to do drugs to make them better. That is the total wrong message. The message that they need to give to young athletes is that they can be a great athlete by hard work and dedication, not by cheating. Also these professional athletes that are cheating are not only making themselves look bad but also making former professional athletes look bad. Earlier professional athletes never had these big time trainers or any type of drug to help their game. The only thing they had was dedication and god given ability. This is what I believe professional athletes that are cheating have not realized. All the former athletes before them have to be very disappointed in all the cheating that had been going on in today’s sports.
